.... My controller is newer than yours but has lower line current (120 vs yours 150), at least it has higher phase current (400 vs yours 330). ...
My fardriver 72V150A was only configured for 120A line current by the factory settings too.
I meanwhile tweaked it to 135A (changed the circuit breaker to 150A as well).
It increased the acceleration a little bit, but didn't really affected the max speed.

Ich denke das die max Geschwindigkeit in der Programmierung begrenzt ist. Und egal wie viel max Strom einstellst. Bei mir auf dem Ständer Fahrt das Motorrad auch nicht mehr als 100kmh es regelte runter

Thank you for a hint, I corrected my previous post, my breaker is 150A.

Yes, I read you comments. My controller is also 72V150A (DY72V150AB_17_28A20), rated voltage same as yours = 72V120A, looks different (plastic cover over the bolts) and as I wrote, LC120A/PC400A (yours 150/330 - I know that you know that, I am just trying to put it all to one post for other readers).

Nor yours nor my controller is on FarDriver's website where last number shows phase current and "72" means "operating voltage 48-72V" (max voltage 88V) so my controller should be ND72400 but that product also is not on FarDriver's website, only here - https://shopee.co.th/%E0%B8%81%E0%B8%A5 ... 0035261010 - and it is 190/400 so this also is not mine. Maybe older model ?

Here is controller for 6kW AMR motor - https://www.gran-scooter.com/repuestos- ... -3503.html - 150/400, rated voltage 72V150A. Same as mine.
Here is controller for 6kW QS motor - https://www.gran-scooter.com/repuestos- ... -3372.html - 150/330, rated voltage 72V150A.
According to guys from EMB FB group our controllers can be custom made for Dayi. Who knows.

I do not know why Dayi lowered line current in comparison to your controller, maybe because different characteristics of AMR motor to QS motor. I saved your photos of your controller settings and many values differs from my settings.

What do you think that "150A" in "rated voltage" does mean ? What is its relation to 120A line current ? Is 120A factory settings and 150A maximum ?

I am confused. I will try to ask Leo from Dayi but I am affraid that as always I get no info.

I got 104 km/h on display on a flat road and it could be a little bit more but road was too short. Ok, real 96-98 ? I am 115 kg + gear. With lighter rider 110 on display would be possible.

I agree that controller may be locked and that raising current is possible only up to some value, maybe 150A according to sticker ?
We can not increase voltage (only with different battery) but still W=V x A. Max line current (factory settings) at full throttle is around 120A => 84V (fully charged battery) x 120A = 10 kW peak, that is what Dayi says.
With Jeff's 135A it is 11,3 kW, not a big difference like he says but still good improvement.
Impossible example, cables would not handle it and also BMS will cut it off I believe - with different controller and 200A = 16,8 kW. I know, 84 V will not last long, my point is that this is the way how the guy (we discused about him yesterday on your FB group) got 22kW with more than 700A from 3kW QS motor and that motor is alive more than 6 years.

My goal is not to make a rocket, just want to understand this chinese piece of mystery and you guys here are clever so we could solve it :)

To make a rocket you need more phase amps from the controller. To get more speed you need higher battery voltage or a motor which does more rpm/Volt.

I think the fardriver controller limits only the no load max RPM to prevent itself from overvoltage in case of reagen kicking in.
On the road the limit comes from the not high enough voltage or from the not strong enough weakening field current. If you raise the weakening field current your motor efficiency drops and also the tourque gets lower and your motor will get hotter.

In my scooter with 21S100Ah battery I reach with the QS60V5000W motor and 50A weakening field current 110km/h GPS veryfied. Without weakening field 103km/h.
Battery current with weakening field is 150A @ 110km/h. Without it is 90A @103km/h

With the Erider / Masini 8kw motor the same scooter is without weakening field only 88km/h and with weakening field 97km/h.
Acceleration is 10% faster and the overall efficieny is 10-15% lower with this motor.

My solution is a controller with more phase amps to get faster acceleration and use the motor which does higher RPM/ V for more top speed.

I will upgrade from my Sabvoton SVMC72150 to a Fardriver ND72680 or ND96850 both are already setting in my garage.
Masini Extremo Neuaufbau 2021 7,7kwh Li-NMC Fardriver ND721800 400bA 1400pA >30kW

41-58,5V CC/CV Lader mit 1-4kW zu verkaufen 0,65-2,2kg klein, leicht, langlebig, auch im Duo mit 82-117V nutzbar

Thank you, great comparison.
No, I really do not want to make a rocket :) But a little bit more power would be great. If it was not possible, I am ok with it. I just like to discover (for me) unknown territory.
I agree that one of the limiting factors can be motor itself. Unfortunately there is no info available about AMR motor.
Field weakening is a big mistery for me, I have to gain some knowleadge about it.

I googled BSM product number and found its manufacturer's website (JBD) and for 76-140 USD you can get better BSM up to 250A continuous / 750A peak - https://jiabaidabms.com/products/jbd-sm ... 4121380002 - also with bluetooth. That seems great to me - if it is plug and play and not a complete rebuild of battery is required.
For 33 USD you can get a display :)
I know that you can get Daly etc., just as not experienced in BMS changing I am not sure whether Daly would be also plug and play as JBD should be, I guess connectors should be standardized but we all know how that we should not rely on that.
So, who will be the first one and make a tutorial about changing BMS ? :) I have to wait till August (warranty) :)

Hello Miguello
Look at the Fred E-odin Accu and BMS, you can see that the Accu is filled with silicone, everything has to be figured out first. In doing so, no line must tear off, otherwise the accumulator is broken. The next question is how many amperes can be drawn from the cell pack at most. So it's not that easy, but it's a good idea
